hey girl i totally respect your opinion but since you asked about how others feel about Jeanette and why they dislike her and Izekiel i’ll tell you from my understanding.
In the novel btw jeanette and Izekiel were a lot more in the background, they weren’t characters that were very focused on the story. But since we’re talking about the manhwa it’s clear that jeanette isn’t rlly supposed to be a likeable character. We are introduced to athy who is someone who came from nothing and is now trapped in a story book and will do anything in order to survive, athy is funny, has a lot of character and is smart and charming she’s not needy or a spoiled and is adorable. The fact that she will do anything for claudes love made her very likeable and relatable because if you are someone who has daddy issues you’ve probably felt the same way towards your dad, so to see athy finally win over cluades love was very sweet. Then we are introduced to jeannette, the first time she gets introduced is to show how jeanette is a horrible person who steals cluades love in the story book. Though we actually see that she isn’t a horrible person it’s very upsetting having her around when the readers and athy know that there’s a chance she can turn evil and steal claudes love that athy worked so hard for. It can also be annoying when jeannette talks about how claude is her father because the readers and athy know that’s not true and her real father is right beside her. It’s not jeanntes fault but it’s so hard to like her knowing all that.
Then we have Izekiel, he isn’t someone who was mentioned in the web novel that much, he was way more of a side character. I personally disagree that he would be better for athy. Izekiel is a sweet boy but let’s be real, he doesn’t know a single thing about athy but claims he loves her. When really he fell in “love” with her at first sight because of her looks. Izekiel doesn’t know athys true personality. Athy isn’t open with him, and he isn’t open with her. They barley have any meaningful conversation. He also isn’t very helpful, he knew there was a chance athy was in danger but didn’t warn her or do anything to stop it. He’s too dense for athy who is strong spirited. But lucas on the other hand is the most helpful person in athys life, he has done basically everything for her. He supports her mentally and physically. They can vent to each other, they are very comfortable around each other. They make each other happy and have seen every side of each other’s personality. They are very similar. Now i don’t blame Izekiel for not doing much since he was barley mentioned in the novel but yeah
Ooo okay, thank you for taking the time to explain all of this. It makes sense now because if I read the novel I would’ve been all for Lucas then, does the Manhwa seem to deviate from the novel’s plot?
I prefer Lucas I LOVEE Izekiel too . It still makes me sad when i found out he’s not the ML and how the author make him looks useless ┗( T﹏T )┛

I never read the full web novel. But the manwha does seem to stretch out events. Their definitely making the manwha seem longer then the novel but all the moments in the novel are happening in the manwha so far
So I might drop this because of how sad I was finding out about it.

Finding out Izekiel wasn’t the main love interest made me sad. I knew from the beginning everybody was going to pick Lucas and everything (no lie I was a fan of both Lucas and Izekiel from the beginning but as the story progressed it changed) but the way the story was going it made me pick Izekiel even more for Athy. He loved her in the first life and the present life and that got me, the feelings he has for her are just so pure. And then I found out he isn’t the ML through a meme ;-; (might get attacked, I’m just stating my opinion please-)
This is the second time ever that I was wrong about who the ML was and this also is the one that’s actually hurting me.
I was gonna say about how I think he’s better suited for Athy but in all honesty I just want him to be happy and I hope he is in the end. This includes Jeanette too. I know there’s a lot of people who hate Jeanette and I don’t understand why. I get how people can find her annoying though. This girl is convinced that she’s Athy’s sister and Claude’s daughter and is trying to be close to them as a family, you can’t really blame her if there are people who she trusts that are telling her that. You can’t blame her either about the curse when she doesn’t know it.
