Yeah, the ml is total shit. He can help her get out of there but he “cares for her too much” to let her go? What bs. If he really cared he’d wish for her happiness and wellbeing and just let her go. I can already predict that the one option he’s going to propose is that they get married. Such total garbage. Especially since it clearly isn’t the only option, just the only option that benefits him.
