i get what you're saying about the manhwa being mainly focused on her cuteness, but i feel like it's not mutually exclusive. like she can have a whole full page display of her cuteness or whatever, but that cuteness doesn't take away from her valid experiences and lack of development from her previous life. i'm hoping for some character development in the future or more fleshed out characterization in the coming chapters? it might be just shallow writing for now, but i'm gonna hold out hope for a while longer
Please understand... NOBODY is against trauma. NOBODY is against regression due to abuse. You have all these amazing theories and comments about abuse and retarded growth, and everyone has a point. The problem is, from the storytelling angle, THE MANHWA ITSELF IS SHALLOW BAD WRITING. Casting pearls before swine. The manhwa is less intelligent than what you make it to be. It is NOT an accurate portrayal of abuse; if it is, it wouldn't have portrayed Hailynn CRYING AND QUESTIONING HERSELF with FLOWERS AROUND HER. The manhwa has NO IDEA about regression theories because it is far more occupied with showing Hailynn's cuteness and dresses. The author has no clue about regression and trauma theories, because if she knew, the manhwa would've commented or narrated about it. She wouldn't constantly have Hailynn take up almost every mega panel just to show her tears and cuteness. Readers are not able to connect with her because how could they when almost every shot of Hailynn is either a fashion show or making irrelevant actions that other manhwa wouldn't even have bothered. Hailynn tripping? DEDICATE A BIG ASS PANEL FOR IT. Hailynn crying? Let's give her one whole page for it. Hailynn running? Let's take up three pages for it. Hailynn's thoughts? REGRESSED. Is it coz of Trauma? The manhwa: "... ლ(´ڡ`ლ)" Girl is in need of character development and author needs to be less in love with her drawings of Hailynn and focus on world building a bit more please. Becase right now, I KNOW NOTHING about everyone else aside from them commenting on how cute she is every time. Sigh.
