yeah but im pretty sure she's his first love and he's still youngish? I think it's supposed to be childish behavior on purpose, and since she thought they were like sibilings, they probably hugged a good amount before meaning the hug was differentish, still gave her an anxiety attack but it wasn't about hugging itself
he was overcome by emotion thinking hugging her would maker her give in and accept the proposal when in reality he made her remember the night she was nearly molested. he's 20 years old idk why he's acting like a teenager
i think he was just being used as a foil for the ml who is much older to emphasize his maturity idk not too much to read into

am i the only one who doesn't like their reactions? lol like he legit threw her ring, caused her to have an anxiety attack because he hugged her, questioned their relationship when he has no right to interfere, and even proudly exclaimed about how her dad wouldn't accept sunohara. (wtf is the dad the one getting married? why should he decide?)
