It's 2020 and we still get such works where the MC has the emotional intelligence of a peanut and the communication skills of a snail- how such characters are able to be Dukes or Kings and make decisions that affect people's lives is truly beyond me

I personally dont mind the peanut size emotional intelligence character because it sometimes can be extremely funny if carried out nicely, but the way the mc didnt get enraged after the duke forced himself to him is just so ??????????? I have so high expectations on gay isekai stories and now i’m just... dramatically wanna scream
I feel you- it's amazing when the characters are actually clueless yet respectful in general and try to figure out their feelings and the premise of this one was soo good; I loved the beginning and was hoping this would turn out to be one of the best BL ones I'd have ever read but my disappointment knows no bounds now. I'm kinda happy that I at least got to know about the spoilera before I invested myself into this even more.
I love the BL genre because the variety of stories and concepts they present are really beautiful and interesting but when I read stories such as this one I feel like I've been slapped in the face- these kind of stories are the reason why the BL genre is so hated upon for fetishizing these trigger issues and treating them as something normal when it truly is not and should be treated in a delicate and morally correct manner.
I thought the duke is funny & tsundereish so i had high expectations on him, especially since he didnt fire the tutor right away after knowing Jace was gay but ...
