I think that she was able to get over the mental aspect since she was a reincarnated person, and her soul was different, and so were her memories.
And they included how some of her family members began to change the slightest bit, as well as Irene treating her well since the start.
But yeah, I agree that this manhwa represents weight poorly as it’s still portrayed as undesirable.

yeah totally the mental part I understand but it would be much better if it didnt just.. melt away yknow? She was totally just conforming to the toxic beauty standards of the royal (& modern) era. If this story was going to have weight such a big part of the story's base and past it should've been represented at least a little better, come on. I totally understand where you're coming from though.
I absolutely despise the way this manhwa portrayed weight. It makes sense that she would binge eat from stress/sadness but wouldn't that be considered an ED? It's a huge mental and physical struggle; it doesn't just magically go away, you work and work and get stronger from it.
Plus, being overweight doesn't mean you can't overcome your problems. You can conquer anything and you can still look beautiful/handsome even if you weigh 10x more or less than your peers. I was excited about this concept thinking she would get people to change their minds and love her despite her weight. With this, nothing changes. Being overweight is still considered ugly and bad.
If they cannot look at her and treat her the same way as the weight she was before (yes i realize her attitude changed as well) they do not deserve even the slightest glance no matter what she weighs.
To all of my overweight, underweight, and average friends, you can still overcome your struggles. If you have an ED I'm so sorry but that doesn't mean you can't do anything until you lose weight. You're attractive either way.
