Since this is dragging. I'm capping this off and leaving.
If it was a part of a character, it wouldn't bug me. Homophobia can be a part of a character. It wasn't.
I think it's really funny that all I implied is that the authors view on homosexuality was not ok because people are still using that as an excuse to kill us to this very day, and people are all like 'it's only one irrelevant line'.
Racial slurs can be one word.
The author said a bad thing.
And I'm not the bad guy for saying the author said a bad thing.
The author is the bad guy for saying what they said.
If you think I'm the bad guy for saying that view is wrong, maybe you hold that view yourself. And maybe that's why I called it out in the first place.

Right. I'm out.
Equivocating homosexuality with abuse. I don't know if it's the authors fault or the translator's. I'd wager the authors.
You don't do that. You NEVER do that.
That is EXACTLY what saw my brothers killed. What still sees them killed today.
And before anyone starts trying to say 'oh it's not doing that, it's just saying that he was homosexual'. No. The author wrote that specifically. If they didn't think there was a correlation, they would never have mentioned his sexuality.
