Yes the sequel is about the abusive ex and it’s called Hadakeru Kaibutsu. In my opinion, this sequel was done incredibly well. Really, this author is probably the only author I know who actually writes a great “redemption” arc without forgiving anything or glorifying abuse. If you’re worried that Yumi is just going to forgive Kan-chan for no reason and the abuser gets a happy ending because fuck all, then no that’s not what’s going to happen. His story is much darker and sadder and the whole path to his redemption is painful and really, he never forgives himself even at the end of the story.
