Maybe that athy was aware of Jeanettes background. I think there’s something about that Jeanette has to resent them or something for the curse? The real dad was thinking something like the father daughter are trying to manipulate Jeanette to get on her good side to save themselves

i agree with this. i feel like he was really overcome by emotion because of lucas. they were basically declaring war on each other and he was so desperate to express his feelings to athy that he ended up expressing it to jeanette as well.
Common i now that Ezekiel likes Athy but the way he treat Jennete isnt good, i hate him i am team Lucas. But the way i am very curious what did they told Jennete? She was shock!
