I know what her role is but putting on "innocent face and being used" act is so freaking annoying she is already 15, she can figure it out that she is being used , I can accept it if she has the villainess character from the start but no, she has this innocent character that just make her dumber every chaps jeez

well, that's really how she acts tho.
its kinda sad how she's just there to create obstacles for athy, considering how much she wanted to be part of their family. and athy knows too that jeanette will bring nothing but problem. aside from that, nothing's really going on with her character.
no substance, no depth, just longing and yearning for a family she couldn't have. spoon might probably be pushing for a character development, hence why she's appearing more often. but i guess it'll be more of that "she's in trouble, let's save her" situation from what i can see. (she'll definitely be manipulated by the evil dude that was claude's brother)
but her naivety and innocence were undeniably irritating. not because she's acting like that, but because it's not doing good for her situation or anyone's situation at all. (well, maybe for the villain)

yup she one of many underdeveloped side characters that suffer from a series focusing mostly on daddy/daughter fluff time (if your names not athy or claude, your not important) but then again.. I do wonder if its really necessary, maybe thats all spoon intends her to be. just a simple, kind yet unfortunate girl who's gets the heat for all of her fathers actions. she doesnt NEED to play a more engaging role technically. even ezekiel is boring to me (dude is barley present in the story)
I know a lot of people have their own ideas of where blame should be placed, based on intent, circumstances and characterization, but I dont put any of the blame on a psychologically stunted 15 year old girl who's been manipulated by everyone she trusted from the day of her conception, it cant be helped that she's naive, shes been kept away from things that would stimulate such growth to independence based on someone else's convenience/plans for her. on the other hand, I will continue to hate with passion that adultering, fratricidal backstabbing brother of the king and hold him accountable for ALL of claude's and athys suffering thus far, because he's the adult.
maybe if I expected something more from jennettes character.. I would be just as frustrated as all of the others, but I just feel indifferent. I dont feel particularly strongly either way about her. the same way I feel about the redhead knight and the maid chick basically. they are okay side characters, thats it.
I'm in a realllyyyyyy bad mood. I've been on all nighter this week because of genshin and this update is so freaking annoying because I know Jeanatte will be involved in the next issue and I can't just click it with her she is dumb as fvck, I'd really it if jeanette will be exiled with her father and the duke
