He’s popular with the Chinese fanbase but the western one is more divided. In general yandere, possessive, and tsundere tropes don’t fly in the western world where they take it too seriously (strong sjws) while the eastern canvass understands it’s a fantasy and you’re meant to indulge and not take it seriously.
