he already knew that the previous soul hated everyone. what can you really do by locking her in the castle. she did get to fangirl over the guys who will probably remain in the castle. but if you like her so much you should do what she asked. btw if you truly did care abt her she wouldn’t have hated everyone. since he left her there without taking much care of her,

If I remember correctly I believe he also said that it's more safe that she stay there for another year because if her enemies find out that she's sick, they'll kill her off and since her mother's family will not protect her then staying at the palace is the safest bet.
