Although I'm and empathetic person, I don't feel an ounce of pity for him. He had the choice to be strong or weak. He didn't just leave, because he was stubborn. He knew he was hurting himself, and he would hurt others, yet he continued taking that path. His selfishness didn't even lead to his happiness, so it was a complete waste.

Yeah but it's not just Charlie who stayed the same throughout but all the characters. Hyungdo and Gyung's personality and fucked up sides are still the same, it's just that they're in love with one another.
Hyungdo didn't have anything in the beginning too and he was fine with that, so him having nothing in the end wouldn't change anything but he went from filming everything but penetration to being fairly popular and having a boyfriend, so he gained something. He's the type of person who goes with whatever life takes him without changing his personality and ideals, so what happened to him that might have traumatized and held back normal people for life wasn't that big of a deal with him because of his "whatever, I'm fine now anyway." mentality.
The author did a damn good job with this title. Definitely lived up to its name.
Also, am I the only one really feeling pity for Charlie? Idk man. Feel bad for the kid. For everything that happened, Hyungdo got his happy ending but that boy had nothing in the end. He literally needs help in all sense of the word. And if someone is to be blamed for all the bad shit Hyungdo had to endure, I'd say its Mr. Kim. Sorry but Charlie was unstable and Mr. Kim knew what betraying Gyung meant for Hyungdo so it's rightful imo that he went to jail. Also, I'm glad that old dude died. Fuck him.
Lastly, I do believe that the MC's relationship was a real toxic one before the near death experience and it sucks that Hyungdo had to go through that. Idk. But I guess they're happy at the end so okay????
