The main angel statue is possessed by the system admin. Destroying the statue isn't the same as killing that guy. Anyway, it is safe to say that jin woo won a bit of autonomy from the system bc he understands where his power comes from and the big picture of what is happening to earth with the gates and magic etc. And the system is now more objective...like a computer without that admin running it.
