Like yeah we see him buy the same things like cigarettes but how long do the cigs last and in the the chapter when the main character said he confessed I’m pretty sure he got mad and took it out on the dude behind him. And he could’ve done that a long time ago when the dude was being stupid(the guy behind him in the store) just my little take don’t know if this answered your question
