I dont hate the brother and the butler as well. Maybe the brother does seem kind of strict or a bully towards tomoe but i think its because if tomoe didnt tattle on their relationship then they can still date secretly until he finally becomes the head of the house.
But of course, it is too much to blame a CHILD who knows nothing. Maybe if he indeed explained to takashi his plans right after that incident, then maybe everything would be fine with them and they dont need to take it out on tomoe
That still doesn't justify why the two blamed a child for the problems that adults imposed on them. The brother made his little brother life hell. Blaming him for the death of his mother and for being discovered having sex with the butler... Imagine growing up being hated by your brother hearing these things every time you meet him, being manipulated by the butler and being blamed for something he was not to blame for.
That's why they need a lock.

I hated them but I can understand where their resentment came from. They wanted to unleash all their anger for having their relationship ruined onto something, so the next closest thing was the cause: Tomoe. In saying that the brother still demonised him and belittled him for being a bastard his whole life so I still don't like him & I honestly hope he doesn't get a happy ending bc I believe he shouldn't have his cake and eat it too.
Im surprised to see a comment like this. I have no qualms with you liking them, but I think it’s pretty obvious why others wouldn’t. Personally, I’ll never like child abusers. Whether the bro liked or hated Tomoe doesn’t matter to me. He still treated Tomoe like crap from a toddler to adulthood.
