I thought the same but it's best to remember that it isn't time travel in this story. She just read a book that seemed to contain a prophecy which is why she doesn't seem to be feeling upset and why she still has the mindset of a child.
Oh it isn't a time story? I see...The reason why I thought it was a time travel. Was due to a novels I read where it was family themed story. Such as "Why are you so obsessed with rejecting love?" But my question is...Why was the book there in the duke's room? Why was it even there to begin with?

Okay so there's a misunderstanding from what it seems. It looks like he does care about mc (I think...I hope...Bruh that better not be a facade he pulling!). So do yall think the reason why he adopted and treated fl lead better than he ever did to mc is because he felt tremendous guilt over being a horrible father that felt guilty over not taking care of mc? I'm just talking about their previous life btw. Cause that could explain why he never allowed anymore not even the fl to open up MC's room. Maybe, he's not able to forgive himself over MC's death. She did die at a young age from an unknown illness. Also why? Who could have been the cause to this time regression?
