
Love and Hate was about just how flawed people can be when it comes to love.
I'd say Taku was there to give another perspective to the story. Because he started off as cynical and manipulative, toying with other people's hearts before dropping them. Haesoo was the first person that he TRULY grew to care about, and him getting hurt for the very first time in a relationship was honestly his milestone, and imo shows his actual growth.
Sure, in the end he didn't up with Haesoo: but he was more than plot device. He mattered to the story thematically, which is why Youngdam fixated on him so much. That's my opinion.
i been knew.. the author really just added taku for some drama which wasn't needed because they were already step-brothers. like what did taku add to the story?
