Ikr. Fever isn't a big deal here either
It's just fictional lol or some author don't socialize so much that they think fever is so phenomenal
Considering how fever causes exhaustion and in extreme cases death, isn't that just a sign of your country's lack of care for its workers? It's used in fiction to either show a strong character's moment of weakness or give a LI a chance to care for their loved one, but it's still serious in real life when you get a fever. You don't want to spread sickness around if you can help it and you'll be under preforming with a sickness, anyway. It's better to rest and get over it faster.
I wonder why a fever is a big thing in in yaoi or manga in general ? It's always a turning point in every story ,throw a fever in the plot and baaaam magic happens.. in my country if you have a fever or a cold they will till you to walk it off and no rest what so ever and no hospital or shit i couldnt skip a day in school or collage or work coz i have a fever or cold..
