So much people are hating on Ripley...hello? Are you dumb or what? This has been said so much times but imagine, IMAGINE if the duke was ugly. Jesus christ the shitstorm that would cause would be amazing. Imagine if you woke up in someone’s house and there’s this creepy ass motherfucker that wants you to marry him. He is OBSESSED with you and will kill you if you don’t agree. You’ve stated again and again that you DON’T WANT to get married and yet he still pushes you for it. He’s threatening your life, family, and all the people you care about. Finally, you’ve managed to escaped by doing a little trick but he finds out and becomes even more fucking crazy. What the hell is going on in people’s minds? You think the duke is a good person? He even ADMITTED that he knew everything from her not wanting to get married and that means there’s NO CONSENT mutually and that’s toxic af man. Sad to see that they’re obviously going to get together because that’s how these stories work...just because someone looks good doesn’t mean you should let him do whatever he wants without your consent, especially after these red flags come up.
