Yes technically he is the victim in this scenario but she only did that to try and get away from him because he was toxic and threatening her. Yes they are both in the wrong but you have to understand he was manipulative and abused his power. And honestly he needs to have a character development soon and understand why she lied in the first place, maybe if he listened to her and not try to be so macho and controlling they could have worked it out.

He had no right to react so extremely to that underhanded approach because he, in the first place, wouldn't take no for an answer. Dominant personality? Are you kidding me? It was clear as day that the ml was cornering the fl, basically threatening to kill her every time. That's not a simple personality problem. He's a homicidal, entitled, petty drama queen of an ml. Excuse the fl for not wanting to marry him. The recent chapters prove she was not wrong for trying to escape him, only that she fell for him in the end and got caught.

dominant? umm the guy straight up threatened to kill her, sell her as a slave and fuck up her family, etc. bit more than dominant i think. her actions are more than reasonable to his abusive behaviour. the guy was trying to trap her in a marriage and after multiple attempts to get out of it, that whole faking injury was a last resort. if he had just respected her, none of this wouldve happened in the first place

My comment was in regards to OPs last sentence: "so hes literally OBSESSED with her and now is playing the victim.".
No matter his behavior, no matter his personality and schemes - He IS the victim here, not 'playing victim'.
There were still other ways for her to refuse the entire situation, if we go by realistic means that is (which was not in the author's interest for one and the female lead likely didn't think of it either since she was clearly interested in him from the start, she only refused him because she thought that was the role she needed to follow).
first of all this all started with them supposedly sleeping with each other. making her think they slept together while she was very very very drunk.
two, she tried to stop the situation from escalating but he kept threatening her, her family, etc if she were to refuse the marriage.power imbalance, shes the daughter of a count (?) and hes the sole duke.
since she cant refuse, it leads to all of her ploys to try to get him to cancel the marriage instead.
so hes literally OBSESSED with her and now is playing the victim. i really really hope he gets some character development cause this is some toxic abusive bs
