Extras are really just fan service. Sometimes more like fanfic or djj than actual canon, so it's fine to read it with the mindset of reading an AU.
idk I feel like some extras are useful additions to the story and some are just fanservice, and that was one of them imo
I preferred the actual ending. This extra feels like the author wanted to throw a bone at the readers by making it plain clear that they meet again whereas the real ending was only implying it.
I like the subtlety of the real ending more although the extra was cute.
