shes obviously read the entire novel and knows about ain's personality, but chooses to ignore it under the guise of "im trying to change him". shes acting like he wasn't already killing and abusing people at that age.
even when the duke told her about it, she admitted that she knew but still brushed it off. i understand the fact that she has sympathy for him and wants to change his fate, but shes too naive. she convinces herself that he's a good kid despite knowing the opposite.
also, in my opinion, shes just not badass enough to make me interested in her. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I think she thinks that he's still young and hasn't learnt to be so evil yet, and in front of her, he acts so innocently which further proves that theory to her.
Because in the story she read, he only did evil things when he was older from his bad childhood or something.

You do have a point. It’s been so long I forget some details but I guess it’s starting to feel too repetitive. Hopefully the story moves along
