I read it all! And I agree with you. It was rape in the sense that geumhwa was saying no but seunjae just wanted it to go back to how things were. He wanted to feel the love and desire again, not the now fear that geumhwa was looking at him with.

okay, so, i came back to reread that dub-con sex scene b/w seungjae and geumhwa and here's my twO cEnts on the whole thing.
one, it was rape. but, not really. i mean the lines are really blurred. i don't think geumhwa saw it as rape? b/c he's really used to being coerced into having rough sex and that's why he doesn't even bother anymore, yk?
if you think objectively and disassociate seungjae's previous actions where he was very sweet and loving with geumhwa then it was definitely rape.
but if you think subjectively and take into consideration all those times where he was all bf material then....it's a different matter.
i think seunjae had a lapse of judgement. he felt like he was losing control over everything bc of the so called curse and for once, he just wanted to take something without thinking of the consequences [that 'something' being sex with geumhwa :(]
