It makes sense, I've heard the allergy to cats comes from their saliva, so when they lick their hair and this one falls off is when we get the allergy, so if your cat doesn't shed so much hair that would explain why :)
And I'm a very allergic person, my skin is very sensitive and I get itchy from everything lol so even if I don't have cats, my doctor still recommended taking them almost every day in case I have a strong allergic reaction to something, that it doesn't hit so hard and can treat it quickly ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I'm allergic to cats and I have 2 lol, what I try to do is take allergy pills daily, but I have already had them for 4 years so in part I have created some kind of immunity, because I can go days without the pills and everything will be good.
The key is to try and give them a bath once a month ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
