Oh yeah good point, I forgot about that one since it's been a while since I read the other chapters. In that sense, Kirin is his restraint / Kang Moo's version of humanity.
ah true. i haven't read/seen Hannibal but it does sound like the opposite. I really gotta re-read this because i forgot all the details T.T i'm impressed at how do you can remember everything. i usually gotta wait till a series ends and then bing read everything to remember what is going on.

Wondering if you guys think forensic dude's offer would be all that appealing to Kang Moo?
I do not think it would be appealing to Kang Moo.
1.) The forensic guy said that he is a better partner than Kirin because he can understand Kang Moo.
Having someone who understands you is nice, but, I think part of the appeal of Kirin is that he needs to be convinced to do a crime. Since Kang Moo knows that Kirin feels guilt, having Kirin follow his orders and committing a crime is thrilling since it means despite everything that Kirin feels to not do the crime, he still does it for Kang Moo. It strokes Kang Moo's ego knowing how much control, influence, and power he has over Kirin. Kirin struggles with his feelings but still chooses Kang Moo, still commits crime for Kang Moo. Kang Moo is his only. With forensic dude, its too easy. Kang Moo knows forensic guy is attracted to criminals so he knows forensic guy would simp for criminals other than himself.
Also, Kirin's way hotter than forensic guy in Kang Moo's book. Kang Moo needs someone to rail when he can't kill. He would rather stay single than rail forensic dude. Also, Kang Moo probably gets off on having Kirin submit to him. Since forensic guy is attracted to criminals, Kang Moo wouldn't even have to work to get him to submit.
2.) The offer of knowing all the ins and outs of committing a crime in the U.S.
I don't think this would be that appealing to Kang Moo since then it would make murder too easy. I think part of the thrill and appeal to murder is putting in the work for the setup, having the fear of getting caught, and the feeling of getting away with something after the murder. The forensic guy's offer basically cuts down all of the research work and prep and the chances of being caught. Having not to do work eliminates the good feeling of reward after working hard for something. Lowering the chances of getting gets rid of the thrill from fear of being caught. Having something be too easy would be boring for Kang Moo. It would take away the thrill of the hunt.
TLDR: I think the forensic guy would suck the thrill out of everything since it would make it too easy for Kang Moo. Also, Kang Moo thinks he's ugly and would rather stay single than bone/date him so there's that too LOL.
