Feelings may very well lead to wanting to have sex with the person you have feelings for, but sex isn't dependent on feelings, it's about lust, which you may develop for someone you don't even know let alone have feelings for. Moreover, having feelings for someone doesn't stop you for engaging in sexual activity with others. You don't grow impotent because you have someone you like. You simply stop yourself from doing so out of loyalty IF YOU ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH THAT PERSON which they weren't.
