I readed raws and novel too. And I can say just one thjng; ML's father was the real villain because ex empress I mean ML's step mom was a good woman, she was kind, careful and lovely.. until she married.. when she married ML's father never look at her face and only cared for his mistress (like father like son) and slowly ML's step mom lost her mind.. Because she was infertile and nobody cared for her. She fallen in love with her husband but her husband only cared for his mistress and slowly manipulate her.. And finally his mistress give birth so she lost her mind completely and take that kid as hers. ML's father didnt even cared until his mistress died. His only care for his mistress. Can you imagine how she was alone? Her family abonded her because of infertility, nobody give any respect because of the how she just kept quiet about mistress, and her husband didnt even look at him and only used her body as a political sex toy and give his love to his mistress.

So I think real villain was the ML's father. Not his stepmom because she lost her mind because of him..

I think violence is still a choice people make, neglected or not - and unlike Lucio, she was an adult woman who wasn't being threatened into committing violence. There were other choices she could've made, aside from beating and abusing a child who didn't ask to be born. But I definitely agree that the father is also largely at fault. They share the blame for what Lucio went through.

Actually she was 16 when she married with emperor who is the 30 years old.. I dont say she didnt any wrong things but I say she lost his mind. She was not normal. She was insane. And emperor was the reason of that. I dont say she was right what she did
