Yep. Though in the novel, Camilla's mostly treated like an okama. Very low-key, though, so the translators can mostly correct it. They never use he/him pronouns, anyway. And she avoids 99% of the disgusting tropes that most okamas get hit with.

Fingers crossed that Camilla manages to dodge them in the manga, too. Treat her with respect, please~ (legitimately praying, here)

Yes, 100 times yes. When they used the term deadname it already made me super happy.

    okama? dead name? cassanova

okama is japanese slang for gay men (it can also mean drag queen or f*g) and its kind of derogatory in a way (also used as a kind of gag in anime where okamas are burly men dressed as a woman and act effeminate) and a dead name is a trans person’s old name before they were trans so like if they changed their name when they came out as trans then the name they originally had is now their dead name and calling a trans person by their dead name is very offensive and rude because you’re basically invalidating their whole existence by calling them something they don’t want to be associated with anymore

    Novel.

Part One is awesome. Part Two is doing unholy things with a shark. With any luck, the manga doesn't continue past Part One, because Part Two has me dropping the series until we get past the ML's family drama. His estranged sister is amazing; the rest can burn in a raging fire.
