He clearly never married if he only had time to serve Morandi exclusively and with such dedication. Wasn’t he old already not just ugly? Did he outlive Morandi’s initial water imprisonment long enough to marry and father children. Or are the stewards distant relatives of the first? And how would they come to accept such a role if they had no obligation to or need for a father to son legacy connection. That seems like a blaring plot hole given there’s actually a lot of information missing in the backstory flashback.
