Yi Yun is actually He LingWei’s cousin. Remember that Jinyao’s uncle wanted to marry his son to Lingwei so that he can control He family? He said that bcs he thought Lingwei is the only grandkid in He family. So, if Yi Yun is also a grandkid in He family, Yi Yun still gets to inherit the He family properties.

well its nt like he would do anything, its just not his character plus unlike fengyao or lingwei, he doesn't have the basic training they had to take over their families tbh. Yi Yun would just like to have a large loving family and a stable career.
