i actually think the opposite? because yahwi knew jooin as a kid, he treated him better than the rest of his “friends”: he sought him out first, they hung out one on one, he accepted to go with him wherever he wanted without complaint, after showing that he was unhappy about his texts getting ignored, yahwi started to reply to everything jooin sent him—it was blatantly obvious that yahwi preferred jooin over anybody else. their relationship provoked so much jealousy among yahwi’s followers that they felt the need to shit talk/spread rumors about jooin just to make him the bad guy. that shows me that, for yahwi, what they had was different.
their relationship got messy soon as feelings were involved. yahwi had been told since he was 6-7 years old to live like a robot and that’s exactly what he did. i don’t think knowing jooin as a kid really influenced him since he said before that he doesn’t like to think about how they’ve met prolly because it happened around the time his parents died and thinking about them as kids reminds him of that.
idk if this makes any sense BUT what i’m trying to get at is that in comparison with his other friends, yahwi was nicer to jooin bc of their past, but he was still an emotionally unavailable boy because of his upbringing and that made his actions extremely shitty.
at the end of the day, they just had some brief interactions as kids (jooin doesn’t even remember yahwi), but yahwi grew up listening to his grandfather tell him to be wary of others and never show emotions. who do you think had more power over him?
