I personally love the novels to bits, as well as the animation, but didn’t care for the live action. In my opinion they made too many unnecessary changes.
It's a fine story, just not a good adaptation.
The novel, anime and the manga is highly recommended. Some people I knew also said the live action is good though haven't seen it yet. Checking this here out cause I've read at different platform for the chapters available but sadly it haven't been updated since. You'll never get sick even you tried them all. Always cracks me up
