I kinda get it bc if I was her I would also be FREAKING OUT. If she knows she's in a story based on these two lovers, but the story isn't the same as she read I would be so paranoid that the world would cease to exist or something. (⌒▽⌒)

True but he’s also not communicating instead of telling her how he feels he backs off. Think about it she knows how the story is going and that his character doesn’t love her so she sees his actions as misleading. She’s basically a cornered animal trying to protect her “dream” cuz she doesn’t want to return to misery and he simply backs off instead of coming out clean and demonstrating that he has no attraction toward red head(the dance confused her).
