as far as I can tell from the comments its bcus the aggregators make money off the tls and the scan team created their site so that they dont have to rely on other websites. their only ask was that people don't upload their tl other places. thats some serious dedication and thats the least we can do reading for free.
Specifically for this manga because the scan group said they will stop translating or make it available to thr public anymore. If they stop we don't know if another group will pick it up and if they'll do it as well as they have

i totally agree with you @tghouls. certain people may try to do logic gymnastics but at the end of the day it's all piracy.
and @Thingyss if scan team decides to stop that's on them. it's not like they want mangago readers to read their scans so why would most of us care?? we wouldn't even know this updated if it wasn't uploaded here.
