He didn't try to look for his wife, he neglected the kids, and he almost raped his former student. He had the good sense to stop before he did more harm, but Natsuki liked him anyway. I agree! At first I thought he might be neglecting the kids while he was looking for his wife, but he wasn't bothering. It feels like he married her "for fun" and didn't actually feel like doing any work to keep their relationship. As for how he almost slapped Hana: He didn't feel even a little bit of guilt afterwards. He put on a face for Natsuki's face, but quite honestly, he's a cruel and sex driven person who didn't deserve the loving family that he had.
