If he wants to applogize and get her respect I think he will most likely ask for it in a different way and not something that he does with his women. Esp if he really like yuri. He is dumb XD well I think he just really don?t know how to apologize? Especially to a woman? He probably settled all his past relationships with gifts and that’s what he’s trying to do again here. Flowers, accessories, dresses... those are all the less imaginative gift you could give to a woman thinking it would make her happy/improve her mood.
