Can you tell us more about it ? Like the husbands secret?
In novel updates spoiler thread, someone posted the context of the story and it’s pretty long but you’ll get the gist of it. I’m interested to see how it unfolds here. But basically I think it has to do with his involvement with a rebellion.

Just found out some things about this story from the novel and this story was is way more that what it seems on surface level. The reconciliation with the son is only the top of the ice berg. The context of what occurred in the past that lead to why they are all like that, the secrets the husband had, the political issues of their country ...it’s just a rollercoaster of emotions and only the side stories literally saved me from a heart stopping end. (HE though)
