Personally I think he is altering and making art in order to satisfy the client, he’s currently working on the streets obviously isnt famous so he is doing what he can to make as much as possible, if that ment suppressing his own ideals and style he most likely would do that intentionally or not, i feel like her words really hit home because shes the first to notice or call him out amd that makes him realize that the people that truly appreciate art will also notice if he ever met one
I agree i think it's good that she pointed out his flaws about what he's been doing on his art cuz he won't really achieve anything from faking your work or not having your originality oh well we all do have different opinions about what she did
When doing art the hardest thing to achieve is originality. Finding and creating your own style takes an incredibly long time, and its not easy when your trying to make a living off of commission work. She probably lit a fire under him but, well I don't think she need to convey such disappointment u know? She is fighting for her life so I get it, but what she said could have really crushed an artist.
