The snow queen by hans christian andersen is published on december 21st 1844, that's 176 years ago and obviously older than the anime you watched
And i think i found the anime from google, the title is 'the snow queen' and it's released on 2005 and has 36 episodes, it's based on the snow queen by hans christian andersen
I thought they meant the movie because i said it's an animation/anime
