I'm the first one to say that it doesn't matter if this is fiction or reality (because as an adult I understand that fiction can't be just pulled out of someone's @$$ but must be based on real life experiences) or if there's way worse things out there but I don't hate the FL because of that. Why(?): For one, she's not grooming him. If her plan was to treat him well to prevent him from killing her, that's the opposite of grooming. For two, falling in love with someone is not a crime. If she has s3x with him when he's underage THAT is a crime. I agree with some of your points. But for me who had read a lot of romance stories of human x magician/beast/vampire/dragon/god etc. with more huge age gape, I still think we shouldn't apply real life logic to fantasy stories. Ofc it's only if both party are adults n my bottom line is 17yo. That considering the romance starts at that age and not before than that. If before, just drop the story. No biggie. My opinion is solely bc I don't think fiction stories can effect real life, but ofc there are some idiots out there who think it's okay to do some dumb things just bc it's okay in fiction stories smh. its not grooming, grooming is when an adult PEDO befriends a minor with intention to be romantically or sexually involved with them, this is different. Hes falling for her right? Havent read ch 10 yet but she never did anything intentional to attempt to seduce him, shes more in the "parental role" although very tsundere.

I'll just answer from my understanding. It depends on the story itself. I mean some fiction stories tend to have their own world building, including age of consent. Like some stories I had read have 14yo as the age of consent, bc they considered them as adults.. And they were written to act and think like an adult. I've read some spoilers and yes it isn't technically "Grooming" but still to fall for someone whom you've raised like your own son (since she is his guardian) is kinda wrong no? Yes I've read stories worse than this but those are straight fucked up and not glossing over the issue of adult-child relationship. But to each his own.
