well said. also, she left her son with a trusted nanny... maybe...? idk... what about her husband? it looks like he was "ok" with her neglect. I don't blame him because we don't know his story yet. I am waiting to see if they show his side as well. And also Vicente has a valid reason for feeling the way he feels.
Sad because I see some people hating on the mother without looking at the big picture.
She got married to protect herself after her father died. Then got pregnant as soon as she did. She was 17 yrs old. Yeah not young for their era but still young. What were our mental capability at that age? I know a lot of people (including myself) making wrong decisions after another.
And I noticed that there wa s I mother figure to help her guide her way through motherhood. From 17 to 22 she was stuck in the house and right after going to her 1st party with a son that was 5 yrs old, she was shamed.. Way to go with mom shaming.
I dislike her too but not as strong as hate. Because just like how Vicente is a child, so was she. 1 moment she was the girl of every party then the next she moment, she was told to stop. Again, she was 17. Yes there are lot of women who did a better job at that age but not everyone was mentally ready for a child.
And this time she was given a chance to show Vicente the love she had that she wasn't able to show.
And don't get me started with yall hating on Vicente. His wariness is also valid because he grew up believing his mother regretted giving birth to him
