I also used to watch some operas where the husband have few wives that fight each other to get the husband's attention before.
But usually the one I watch the MC's mother (if it's the mom that is part of the harem), or the MC (if it's the MC that is the part of the harem) are kinda honest and good? Well, sadly they got slandered alot tho :')

It's horrible what they go through, so some are vicious as hell. Empresses in the Palace is one great example of that. So does Yanxi Palace. Harem life is not for the faint of heart
