He knew that Asahi didn’t prepare a Christmas gift for him and I guess he felt the same on his birthday. He just knew you know ... Masato always smiles and pretends to be okay. Maybe he is actually okay with it, but it’s definitely a bit sad
I wonder what did Masato feel when Asahi forgot his birthday lol but based on his personality he surely is an understanding person so maybe he just brushed it off
