Maybe when those people disappeared they went into the black room? Like being teleported or something, instead of exploding like Jun described it. And those hands are of the people that were transferred there?
Also I don't blame Jun for being terrified of mirrors. Mirrors be scary asf when you feel like you'll see something else other than your reflection
