I kinda think that ray is jealous and felt betrayed cause Gabriel never told him
ray's probably shocked and regretful. seems like he's probably been closeted for a long time and can finally confront his feelings for gabe, who he thought was straight and that he'd never have a chance, but is hurt by his own reluctance, now knowing he could've had a chance all along.
