Boy finally someone pointed it out. I felt that the FL's character was too weak and no redeeming qualities. All that potential power and she ends up being pushed over by much weaker characters.
It is the older knight priest, magical black cat and the scheming devious prince with charm magic who keeps making her move and forcefully making her decisions....
I pretty much lost my patience with the characters and story.
If you read the spoilers, you ll see how weak the MC actually is.
In the manga all I see is now pathetic hesitant character who gets easily pushed around by shitty men + the parasite white lotus. There is nothing left from her edgy badass moment from chapter 1!!!

Ruri from "The White Cat That Swore Vengeance Was Just Lazing on the Dragon Kings Lap" has more backbone, spunk and self-reliance.
I had great hopes for Anise because she came from a less priveledged common relatable background. But there is not much progress in her character, instead we got more regression! Where is her agency?
