she wasn't a mistress it was just the grandfather's one-sided love I believe, but ya because he couldn't forget her he did end up upsetting his future wife

She has every right to be upset! Her father had a mistress which most likely affected her mother in a bad way, she has every right to be upset by that. But she also just cares for her son. When she left she even told him to stop working so much because she was worried! And I love the fact the she and Dylan got along so well almost instantly :)
