Exactly normally they'll just keep the body. Then assume that the other person soul is in their body. Or that the real owner of the body is dead and same with their original body.
Yea an just happy this author explained and have both host great story line and reasons for the swap. Let's say it's a bit refreshing to see it happening like this
I don’t want her to die but I would understand if she did . I mean it wasn’t her body to begin with so at some point she would have to return it. This is the first story about “future transfers” that actually did a great job at explaining what happened to the other person who had the “borrowed” body . You get to understand both souls n their life and I even started to like each(solwa n Ellin). Props to the author
