This is not to shit on strippers or make them look bad. It's just that him being a stripper doesn't really fit with the 'character' he is supposed to be. So it always pulls me out of the story.
Like, he's supposed to be from an old yakuza family so he shouldn't have need to strip, right?
I wouldn't be as bothered by it if it was a story where he has a bad childhood, has to strip in in his teens/young adult years and then eventually worked his way up to where he is now.
I've tried to like it but where I'm from, that a stripper tattoo. Every time I see it it just takes me out of the story.
Maybe we'll get a better backstory on it, and I'll feel better about it. But right now, I just keep imagining him on a pole.
